In October 2011 Gomez and Sullivan held their company meeting in Old Forge, NY, and, in a break from tradition, spent time bonding in the great outdoors.

Day one began with a “State of the Company” overview, where introductions of new employees were followed by a discussion of current and future project work. Employees then split up into teams to participate in a scavenger hunt that took them from the Old Forge Hardware Store to Tickner’s Moose River Paddling Trails all the way up to the top of Bald Mountain.

Teams received bonus points for taking pictures with a variety of items including “1993” (the year Gomez and Sullivan Engineers, P.C. was established), the name of a state in which Gomez and Sullivan provides services, and a live deer.

Team Beaver, the winning team, was comprised of Kevin Miller, Damian Gomez, Katelyn Zatwarnicki, Jerry Gomez, Paul Breier, Dan Gonzales, Kirk Smith, Jason George, Jill Winton, Kevin Cassidy, and Gary Lemay. Members of this team each won a $25 gift card to Gander Mountain, and were entered into a grand prize drawing for an additional $100 gift card, which was won by Kevin Miller.

The day ended with a slideshow of the scavenger hunt pictures amidst laughter from the teams as they enjoyed lunch together at The Knotty Pine restaurant.
