Gomez and Sullivan Engineers, DPC has been specializing in engineering, environmental science, and data management solutions for the water resource and energy sectors since 1993. We are a small, growing water resources consulting firm with a national reputation for excellence. Our staff of approximately 50 individuals working in New Hampshire and New York includes water resource, civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental, and mechanical engineers, as well as environmental scientists, fisheries biologists, ecologists, hydrogeologists, geologists, geomorphologists, and GIS specialists. In addition to engineering capabilities, our environmental expertise includes hydropower licensing, environmental assessments, dam removal and stream restoration studies, fisheries and fish passage studies, water quality investigations, wetland assessments and restoration, and vegetation surveys. To support these services, we offer state-of-the-art GIS and database management capabilities.
Gomez and Sullivan is seeking to fill a summer environmental science internship position at our Utica, NY office. Ideal candidates will be recent graduates or students majoring in environmental science, biology, hydrology, or other relevant degrees. The position will involve assisting staff scientists and engineers with fieldwork, data processing, and report writing for a variety of projects in the environmental fields listed above, as well as general administrative work. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel) is a must; education in or experience with GIS is a plus. Candidate must be comfortable working outdoors and around water. A driver’s license is required; access to a personal vehicle is desirable.
